Our journey began with Ellen, who spent 10 years, from 2002 to 2012, apprenticed to and working alongside some of Australia’s finest jewellers at a prestigious store in the Brisbane Arcade. During this time, she honed her craft, earning recognition with awards such as ‘Best Folio Design,’ ‘People’s Choice Award,’ and ‘Runner Up Apprentice of the Year’ in 2006. This foundation in traditional jewellery-making techniques has shaped our approach—blending timeless skills with modern artistry to create pieces that are made to last for generations.

As our business grows, Ellen is committed to building a legacy that stands the test of time. Her vision is to establish ‘Ellen Johnston Jewellery Design’ as one of Australia’s most prestigious jewellers, built on craftsmanship, passion, and a dedication to our clients.
